According to the watchdog of MOFCOM last week (June 12-18), the market index of edible agricultural products went up 0.1% over the previous week and that of the production means remained unchanged.

In the market of farm produce: the average price of 30 kinds of vegetable increased by 1.2% week on week, with the prices of rape, celery and cauliflower up 10%, 10% and 9.2% respectively. The price of aquatic products was up 0.8%, with those of large hairtail, grass carp and chub up 2.5%, 1.6% and 1.1% respectively. The price of grain was up slightly, with the prices of rice remaining steady and that of flour up 0.3% . The price of poultry products fluctuated slightly, among which the price of eggs increased by 1.8%, the price of duck was up 0.1% and the price of chicken down 0.8% week on week. The price of edible oil fluctuated slightly, with the prices of soybean oil and peanut oil each both down 0.1% and that of rapeseed oil up 0.3% . The price of meat dropped to different degrees, among which those of pork, beef and mutton down 0.1%, 0.5% and 0.1% respectively week on week.

In the market of production means: the price of basic chemical raw material was up 0.6%, with the prices of sulfuric acid, sodium carbonate and methyl alcohol up 1.3%, 1% and 0.1% respectively, the price of purified petroleum benzine down 1.2% and that of caustic soda remaining steady. The price of steel increased by 0.4%, among which the prices of hot rolled common plate, U-bar steel, galvanized sheet and hot rolled strip grew up 1.5%, 1.3%, 0.7% and 0.5% respectively. The price of nonferrous metal fluctuated slightly, with the prices of aluminum and zinc down 1.8% and 0.1% respectively, and those of lead, tin, nickel and copper up 3.8%, 1.9%, 0.9% and 0.4% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer was steady in general, among which the prices of kalium chloratum and DAP both dropped 0.1%, the price of urea was up 0.1%, that of NPK remained the same as in the previous week. The price of coal was down 0.1%, with that of blind coal down 0.4%, while those of steam coal and coking coal remained unchanged week on week. The price of rubber was down 0.9% week on week, with that of natural rubber up 0.5% and that of synthetic rubber down 2.9% week on week.
